CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
To enhance young graduatesβ employability and bridge their transition to work, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Volunteer Programme in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development are implementing the Uganda Graduate Volunteer Scheme. The Scheme supports Government of Ugandaβs Green Jobs Programme in revitalizing quality apprenticeship and volunteerism. The Scheme aims to address the challenges of unemployment and low labour productivity particularly among youth through providing graduates, with access to work-spaces to gain employability skills. Young graduates will be placed as volunteers in institutions across various sectors for a period of 12 months.
This is a call for application for young Ugandan graduates to join the Uganda Graduate Volunteer Scheme.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Ugandan national;
2. Aged 18 to 35 years on the date of application;
3. Has a Masters or Bachelors degree or Diploma/Advanced Certificate from Business, Technical, Vocational Education and Training (BTVET) institute;
4. Has been out of school for a period of 0-4 years (maximum).
